About Me
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.
I offer supportive therapy to motivated adults who are ready to restore a sense of inner peace and to rediscover the purpose in their lives. Simply put, I help people to feel better by guiding them toward new perspectives, behaviors, and habits that align with what’s important to them in life (and if you don’t know what that is yet, I’ll help you figure that out, too).
My approach is largely strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I pull from a variety of theoretical models depending on the unique needs of my clients.
Why choose to work with me?
Clients describe me as someone they trust and who “gets it”—I am genuine, honest, warm, and relatable. You can be assured that when I give you feedback, it is coming from an authentic and caring place. I mean what I say and the hope that I offer you is sincere and real. This is your time, and I want you to feel like you can be yourself without any judgment.
My ultimate mission in our work together is for you to feel empowered and more confident than ever to apply all the skills we discuss in therapy in your day-to-day life. Hearing about how you’re thriving is one of my absolute favorite parts of my job.
Professional Background
While I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and multiple different modalities, I tend to pull from a variety of theoretical frameworks to best treat the unique needs of my clients. In addition to CBT, I may utilize interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. My approach is largely strengths-based and I draw on clients’ resilience to help propel them toward change. When we work together, we’ll collaborate and find goals that feel exciting, realistic, and achievable.
I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of clients from all walks of life, each at a different stage in their growth and development. Clients have included business professionals and executives, first responders and healthcare workers, teachers, medical professionals, college students, and parents. My clients come to me to help cope with anxiety and depression (Notice yourself overthinking? Waking in the middle of the night? Having a hard time letting go of certain interactions or situations?), to challenge thoughts around imposter syndrome and trying to feel “good enough”, to process and cope through experiences of grief, loss, and trauma, to navigate around changing relationships (including infidelity), and to develop new lifestyle habits and behaviors to make their relationships and life more fulfilling and meaningful.
My mission is to help you to heal, to find relief, and to thrive.
